Description

THEME: Solving Pandora’s Box: The application of the arts and humanities to the challenges of mining and reclamation.

Reflecting Telluride's diverse culture, this year's conference will be an exploration of changing approaches to mining and reclamation work with a focus on efforts to incorporate the arts and humanities into the design and execution of projects. This may include everything from community input on project design, incorporating art installations into reclamation work, preserving historic structures for modern uses, and nontraditional funding opportunities.

EVENTS SCHEDULE:

Wednesday Welcome Reception, Peaks Resort & Spa, Mountain Village

Opening Welcome Reception at Peaks Resort and Spa's deck, networking reception, refreshments, appetizers, and art.

Admission to the reception is purchased separately $35 as a Session ticket.

Thursday Conference, Sheridan Opera House and Reception at Transfer Warehouse, Downtown Telluride

Sheridan Opera House is Telluride's historic theater and crown jewel of the performance community. Presentations, discussions, and networking events will feature best practices and innovative approaches to reclamation and art. The conference will move to the Transfer Warehouse, Telluride Art District's outdoor "art-meets-event" space for the reception.

Admission is available for in-person conference at Sheridan Opera House ($75), and includes entry to the conference and the Thursday evening reception at Telluride's Transfer Warehouse featuring music, art, and an open bar.

Thursday’s program will be broadcast online, and access to the presentations virtually will be included in the $75 ticket price.

Online viewing (online access only) is available for $65. We are pleased to be able to offer an online/hybrid experience to those who would like to participate but are unable to travel or be in person.
